On Friday, February 10th, Blueprint Events presented Canadian super-duo Adventure Club for a sold-out performance at Sapphire Nightclub. Adventure Club made their way through Kelowna as part of their "Red // Blue" tour, in support of their new album of the same name, after stops in Calgary, Edmonton & Whistler followed by dates in Prince George & Victoria.
The night kicked off with local favorite Code:E, warming the crowd up with an eclectic mix of Future House, Trap & Twerk remixes. Playing to the crowd, Code:E saw the first spike in energy after dropping a massive remix of T-Wayne's "Nasty Freestyle", from then on out, the night night was on.
After getting the energy built, Code:E was followed by Vancouver-Based duo Young Bombs, who joined Adventure Club for the entirety of their Western Canada tour dates. Opening their set with a rendition of the theme song from Netflix's "Stranger Things", Young Bombs proceeded to play out a near-flawless set, including a plethora of original tracks & remixes from both the past & present.
After turning the club into a mad house, it was finally time for the headliners, Adventure Club, to take the stage. Known widely for their melodic vocals & musical take on dubstep, their performance provided a much different view. Relentless is the word most fitting for their musical selections of the night. In an ode to Kelowna's rich history of heavy bass music, Leighton & Christian left the crowd in shambles after mixing nasty bassline upon nasty bassline, mixing seamlessly between uplifting chorus's & melody's and massive, keyword massive, bass drops.
After the show was over, Adventure Club stayed and met with a legion of their adoring fans, taking time to sign & capture photos with everyone who waited. After an amazing performance, Adventure Club left no doubt as to why they are one of the biggest names in Canadian Electronic Music and left Kelowna waiting until they make their way back again.
