DJ, Blueprint Events
Cain’s history with electronic music began as a DJ at age 17. He remembers buying his first a set of technics turntables from Axe music. Back then he had to race to the record store every Tuesday morning for the weeks new shipment of wax presses as the shipments were limited from the UK. This was a time years before electronic music was even established in North America so it was a fight for your records. But it wasn’t long after, that he was playing small gigs in restaurants, lounges, clubs all over Edmonton. He has been dedicated to the growth of the electronic music industry ever since. Cain has opened for over 100 world class DJs including: Kaskade, Steve Angello, Steve Aoki, Calvin Harris, Skrillex, Porter Robinson, Tommy Lee & Dj Aero, Deadmau5, Benny Benassi, Cedric Gervais, Nic Fanciulli, Wolfgang Gartner, Bad Boy Bill, Chris Lake, Funkagenda, Crookers, Collette, Dresden, LMFAO… to name just a few. He’s played his share of festivals Centre Of Gravity, Badlands Festival, Northern Lights Festival, Elements Festival and BPM Festival in Playa Del Carmen.
Cain is the founder of Flipside Entertainment, Flipside Studio’s and now Beatlab. With the recent merger of Flipside with a much larger company, Cain has become Kelowna’s Concert Director for Western Canada’s biggest electronic music promotion company – This Is Blueprint.
